Organize Thanksgiving Day Party For Former Bosses
On the occasion of Thanksgiving Day, make the most of the occasion by conveying your gratitude to your former bosses, who have made you what you are today. Here are some nippy ways to organize a party for them.
Invitation With A Difference
Get custom made invitation cards with funny quotes. The motive is to have an informal get together. Keep the fun aspect on top priority. Get the help from the professional team in your office on a casual basis. Keep it wild but not wicked.
Get Professional Bartenders And Caterers
Since the party is for the top honchos, keep it thoroughly professional. Call professional caterers who are well versed with the corporate and urbane taste. Spanning from steamed tofu to sushi and minestrone soup, they should be able to serve global cuisine. In case of liquor too, get professional bartenders to serve exotic cocktails.
Troops For Entertainment
Get jazz singers or even the local band to croon the old melodies. Just ensure that the song genre should fit into the party theme.
Gifts To Remember
You can gift mementoes with personal message inscribed on it. Ensure that the mementoes doesn’t look and sound very emotional. For the safer side, you also gift exotic flowers like pink orchids to carve your impression. You can gift a smart tiepin or a set of cufflinks to male bosses. A memento specially made for the occasion that says ‘My Best Boss Ever’ is sure to draw a smile from your old man. Make sure, however, this one is well packed if you are inviting more than one former boss! Welcome the ladies with a bouquet of European roses with ferns to make them feel special. Keep the party subtle yet a memorable one to cherish.
Who knows when you may need your top honcho again to pull a few strings in life!

Preparation for second job interview with a world class company?
A few wks ago I had n int'view @RayWhite &left a good impression, they're set to hire me. However, due to concerns of interest conflict and lack of passion for real estate, I doubt if I will actually take the job. This branch of RW, however, is holding a real estate training in 2 wks which I'm very interested in attending for several good reasons. Since a job at RW is commission based (no salary) they charge $100 for the training (which I'm more than happy to pay).
My future boss seems really keen to hire me and invites me tomoro to ask him questions and express concerns. I don't want the job, but I'd love to follow the training...altho I don't want to clearly state just yet that I don't want the job in case I change my mind after the training. He hopes I'm serious with my application altho is very understanding that I am job hunting in several industries and need time to consider the industry that fits me best. For a successful interview, what kind of Q's should I ask him tomoro?
You have a dilemma! Though honesty is always the best policy.
Be upfront and tell the supervisor you are not sure about the position. Be sure to reiterate your other career desires and options. Accept the opportunity to take the training, even if it is at your own expense.
Get to know the people you would be working with, that in itself, may change your mind about the position.
Never overlook the chance for challenges! My rule of thumb is: Don't like it in six weeks, it's not for you. But you still have the training and contacts under your belt.
You can also get an idea of their commitment to you if you ask for a small hourly wage while you get to know the business better. Something between you and the manager, on a trial basis.
Don't wonder and wish years down the road - it will be too late!
Most importantly, thank the interviewer for their time and express your willingness to work with them if it is at all possible.
