Anime Series: New and Old Classics
Cartoons have been popular among children for generations since Walt Disney released their brand of animated movies and shows. Since then, cartoons have occupied a permanent place in theatres and even spawned the creation of cable television networks dedicated to their programming. Some of the most popular shows dominating the networks these days are Japanese anime import series, which have been translated into English. Children have ditched their former obsessions with American super heroes and switched over to Japanese cartoon characters. Here is a list of some of the more popular anime shows dominating American television.
Beyblades – The original series was Beyblades: Metal Fusion, however now there are two other series that are available. The original series follows Tyson Granger, a young adolescent that possess superior battle skills in the sport of Beyblades. Beyblades are best described as a top that is launched from a launcher tool and dropped into an arena with another competitor. The show takes viewers on Tyson's journey as he battles different competitors in preparation for the ultimate tournament.
Yu-Gi-Oh – The Yu-Gi-Oh series was based on a card game, which players in the show take part in. Contestants would duel against each using different monsters and characters to battle it out. Considered to be a fantasy style anime series, the characters in the show possessed powerful cards, which they could use at their disposal.
Pokemon – Pokemon is one of the most popular shows to every be imported from Japan. The original series was so successful that creators made several other series that were based on the first series. The success of the series has since declined since it's original introduction, however you can find many of the sister series on cartoon networks, which air reruns.
Dragon ball Z – This show was considered to be just as popular as Pokemon after its initial introduction. The current installment of the show follows the main character Goku as a grown man. He has a wife and a son and has begun living the quiet chapter of his life, when he finds out he is from another planet. The show follows him on his quest to discover his new identity and his battle with powerful new enemies.
Bakugan – Bakugan is another anime series that was based on a card game. The cards were to be used in conjunction with small marbles, which would open up, releasing a monster. The original series had 56 monsters, which faced off against each, representing the player.

Why is it that pracically every anime series has a character with obviously unnatural hair color?
Why is it that pracically every anime series has a character with obviously unnatural hair color?
Or is it natural?
I mean, most of them have matching eyebrows...
And one had a BABY WITH PINK HAIR...
I'm not sure what's more disturbing, a baby with naturally pink hair, or a mother that would dye her baby's hair pink.
Well, since the anime styles of the characters are usually quite alike, and the only way we distinguished them before they made different hair styles was by voice, clothing and eyes (and maybe a bit of the hair if they were prominent enough). So anime artists help you identify the important characters with hair colour as well.
MAIN REASON: To help you identify them easily
*If you look closely, sometimes only the main characters have detailed eyes, detailed hair, and even clothes! (If they have any, they might just be a figurine.)
