New online retailer MusicGearFast.com is doing its part to help with the Gulf Spill cleanup.
June 25th through July 16th 2010, MusicGearFast.com will be donating 10% of it's total sales to help with the Gulf Spill cleanup. They will be donating to three WWF approved funds – The Gulf Restoration Network, Mobile Baykeeper and the Trisate Fund. Founder and CEO Ray Arnoult is a native of the area and wants make sure his company has done its part. He explains that as a kid he grew up hunting and fishing in the very same areas that are now threatened by the oil.
While Music Gear Fast is a fairly new player in the guitar accessories market, they are quickly becoming known for one thing – great customer service. Mr. Arnoult tells us the entire business model is based on providing fast and accurate service to each and every customer. Hence the company slogan, "Great Guitar Gear, Great Prices – Fast!". They specialize in boutique and hard to find effects pedals, professional guitar cables and pedalboard systems. Some of the brands they sell include MJM Effects, Empress Effects, Blackout Effectors, Pedaltrain, Lava, Spectraflex, Homebrew, Pigtronix and JHS Pedals.
If you are a guitar player, or know one, be sure to check out MusicGearFast.com before July 16 to help with a great cause. Like their webpage says – Spend a Few Dollars, Get Some Great Gear and Help a Great Cause.

Guitar pedal/pedalboard/effects?
Well ive started getting into pedals ALOT. In fact im getting mainly pedals for christmas. My first question is do i need a noise gate? and where would i put it? Next should i get a 10 band EQ or 6 Band EQ? and where does it go? Last im getting a wireless guitar system and where do i put the reciever on my amp or pedalboard? My band has a New Years gig so i definately want my guitar wireless. If you know anything about any of these questions help me out please! Thank you.
I'd wait and see on the noise gate - the noise level depends on how many other pedals and your pickups. Same on the EQ - if your signal ends up muddy and the controls on the amp don't help, then look into a 10 band EQ as the last pedal (Then the noise gate). The point of a wireless system is to have the guitar free of the cable, so the receiver plugs into your pedal board, and you run a cable from it to the amp.
