I have an Electro Harmonix "English Muffin" that I've owned for about 2 years. I just took it of the shelf and can't seem to get any volume out of it. Is it possible the 12AY7 tubes are bad? My guitar volume is up, my amp volume is up, pedal is engaged, it just sounds really quiet. Any suggestions?

This happened to me about a day after I got the thing, but it seems to have resolved itself. I think it may be caused by changing what the pedal is directly connected to (e.g. amp, direct to pc / mixing desk). Maybe with yours not being used for a while the same thing has happened?

I hope you get it working again because it really is a superb overdrive!
