Guitar noise gate suggestions?
Hey guys, I've got a Boss Blues Driver, an Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi, and a Digitech RP-50 playing through a B-52 LS100 and a Marshall 4x12 8ohm cab. I've got a considerable amount of hum from the pedals and the circuit powering my amp. I've swapped out all my cables for livewire elites and power all my pedals with batteries. I would like to invest in some noise suppression, right now I'm thinking about putting a Rocktron Hush pedal behind my amp in the effects loop and hook up an Ebtech Hum-x to get rid of the noise from my power source, would that be enough? What other options do I have? I'd like to keep it less than 300 dollars.
theres not really any way to fix it that much. Its not a problem, and your amp isnt overloaded youre just getting a lot of feedback, turning the volume down is one of the only ways to fix it. Im a lead guitarist in a blackened death thrash band (I know thats not your kind of music) But when that feedback and reverb makes that squeal in the beginning and I start to chug and shred on that guitar people go wild.
