treble boosters for guitar pedals(keeley,diaz,/13)?
hi i want to get a treble booster but wondering which is best in comparison. the keeley java boost , the diaz texas ranger and the divided by 13 dyna ranger as well as the anologue man beano boost
It all depends on what tone you want. If you want some grit with it, then the diaz would probably straightforward. Keeley effects are getting a pretty good name, however, that boost is very clean. I would recommend you go to treblebooster.net and check out the BSM line. I like the VX-C as I use a Vox Valvetronix Amp for heart of my rig. I play hard rock and fusion and I find it more controllable without compromising my tone.
That being said, I don't know what your rig is or the tone you are going after. Analogue Man's stuff is great, but expensive I believe. Also, if you are into it, Have a look at "Build Your Own Clone" company.
www.buildyourownclone.com These guys are super cool and you can order a kit for a lot less -- only if you'd like to put it together yourself.
Hope that helps. (BTW, I am a professional guitar player and have been writing, performing, touring and recording now for nearly 20 years...)
Good Luck
