Need a new guitar tuner pedal?
I'm trying to decide between the Boss TU-2 and the Korg Pitchblack. My price range is $70-90. Anyone have experience with either one? which one is sturdier? how's the battery life? i read that the Boss pedal takes a few extra seconds to register the tone before it tunes..
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
if you've got the money, just get the tu-2. the reaction time is no worse than any other tuner and it's built like a freaking tank... or a volvo...
sturdy. reliable. AND if you have other boss effects (or anything that uses a 9V adapter), you can use the tu-2 for a daisy chain and just use 1 power supply that's in the tuner to power up to 6 (i believe) other effects.
as for battery life. it's good but, you'd be wasting money after 3 battery changes... just get the adapter for it. it's worth it not to worry that you left something plugged into the tuner and now your battery is dead.
