Does a kit exist to mod/replace the trem bridge on my strat with a hardtail bridge?
It doesnt seem as easy as just buying the hardtail bridge and installing it, but I am not experienced in these matters. Any advice is appreciated.
I have a Charvel that uses a traditional non locking strat type trem, and what i do with that is supplement the 3 stock springs in the cavity with extras which puts more tension on it and makes it harder to move. You can also put some small wood blocks on either side of the trem block and lock it in place that way it won't move at all. I do this rather than just change out to a fixed bridge because i'm already used to the feel of the original one , i just lock it in place , and it does work fine.
