Trouble with a certain guitar effects pedal?

I recently got a new amp, a Blackstar HT-5R (wonderful amp, I highly recommend checking it out), and considering I'm a teenage boy, I don't tend to have much money for lots of guitars and use a Morpheus Droptune pedal for other tunings. Anyway, to the point; I thought I would use my Morpheus in the FX loop of my Blackstar: there is 2 modes on the FX loop, +4db (used for pedals) and -10db (designed for professional equipment) but on both settings, I get an incredibly different tone, and it almost sounds like a phaser when the pedal is engaged. There is nothing that can fix this on the pedal itself, but i was wondering if there is anything I can do to help it? I'd rather use the pedal in the FX loop, as it sounds more artificial and loses gain as you go to lower pitches.

This type of pedal will not work correctly in a loop. the performance of this type of pedal is iffy at best to begin with.

I would recommend getting a second guitar and settle on sticking with the two tunings you use. Most pros rarely use more than two tunings, so you shouldn't need to either.

xx
