The Facts - Bikes Without Pedals
Getting rid of the middle man (i.e. a training wheeled bike)
Before your child even tries to go onto a big bicycle the first thing you do is put them on a training bike- basically a bicycle with two back wheels and one front wheel. It makes it simple because your child doesn't need to depend on their own balance, thus focusing only on getting the pedal pushing down. With bikes without pedals, you get rid of this need for a training bike. A balance bike is a simple bicycle which allows your kids to enjoy the fun of cycling, without the frustrations of a training bike.
How does a Balance Bike work?
A bike without pedals takes all the hassle away from 'riding a bike' when it comes to your toddlers. You don't have training wheels or pedals which means, your kid can focus mainly on their balance and co-ordination. Coming in a variety of brands, you will find it simple to find a perfect balance bike for you and your toddlers. Balance bikes are recommended for kids between the age of one and five. However, due to the remarkable results with bikes without pedals, even your three year old will be able to transition to a normal, big kid's bike.
What are the benefits of balance bikes?
Your bike without wheels will independently help your children foster a greater development in their motor-skills, co-ordination, balance and confidence. Once your kid can easily glide on their bicycle, they will start becoming greater believers in themselves, thereby improving their self confidence. Pediatricians often discuss the critical importance of developing your children's motor-skills and balance early on in life. The PreBike does exactly this. You'll even be amazed at the results once you start using them.
If you've been wondering whether or not you should invest in a toddler bike or a bicycle without wheels, I can safely tell you it is a great investment to purchase. You will see a dramatic difference in your child's physical and mental development.

How to teach a 3 yr old to pedal a bike?
Ive been trying to teach my 3 yr old to ride a bike with training wheels, but he cant seem to grasp the concept of continuing to pedal, or keeping his feet on the pedals...is he too young? how can i teach him to keep his feet on the pedals and keep pushing them in a circle? ive tried a lot of things...pushing the bike and having his feet just rest on the pedals so he gets the feel for how they go around...holding the back wheel up and having him pedal...and trying to push his feet while he rides...and none have worked...any tips?
He may not have the coordination for this just yet ... it's kind of a complex motor skill to master. If it's getting frustrating for him, set it aside and try again in another few months. Sometimes that's all it takes, just a bit more time.
