Computer Speakers: Envoicing the Computer

These speakers are commonly equipped with a low power internal amplifier. The standard audio connection is a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug often color-coded lime green for computer sound cards. A plug and socket for a two wire coaxial cable is widely used to connect analog audio and video components. There are USB speakers which are powered from 5 volts to 200 milliamps provided by the USB port, allowing half a watt of output power. Computer speakers are present in a wide variety depending on their quality and price. The computer speakers that accompany the computer systems are small plastic boxes with mediocre sound quality. Some of the slightly better ones have equalization features such as bass and treble controls, improving their sound quality to some extent.

The internal amplifiers require an external power source, known as wall-wart. More sophisticated computer speakers may have a sub woofer unit to enhance bass output, and these units usually include the power amplitude and the small satellite speakers. some may even have built-in speakers as well.

Most of the computer speakers are equipped with an LED power indicator, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, controls for volume and sometimes for even bass and treble and a remote volume control. When computers were originally released, they had on board speakers that generated a series of different tone and beeps. As multimedia and games became popular, higher quality sound effects and music. Speakers are generally rated in frequency response, total Harmonic Distortions and watts. Today, good quality speakers are self-powered and equipped with all the latest features. These are relatively small in size to fit on desks or on the side of monitors and contain magnetic shielding.

Adding speakers to one's computers can increase its functionality and enriches the experience of using it besides adding to the extent of recreation one gets after getting on with them. In today's world, when we are getting advanced each second, its very hard to imagine using computers without speakers attached to them. The Computer Speakers are essential for the smooth functioning of all the functionalities. Nowadays, there are various speakers like standard, USB and multi-channel etc available and one can choose according to his needs and comforts.

Can I use a 12v 700mA mic preamp if plugged into a 1000VA Transformer?

I have a mic preamp from North America that I'm looking to use in South Korea. The preamp has a 12v 700mA "wall wart" power supply, that I hope to use with a Transformer that converts 110V (as opposed to 120V), has 1000VA and I believe 5A to the Korean Standard outlet. Will my preamp work? Is there a risk it might damage it, or worse yet the actual mic?

Any help would be great!

The preamp requires only 8.4W. A 1000 VA is really a major overkill, but it will work.
