Simple 5 steps to install a double din car dvd player by yourself
Car stereos are very popular in recent years, with features like Bluetooth, navigation and built-in DVD changers all being common options. But one popular option is a double din car DVD. DVD players with Double-din refers to the size of the stereo, with DIN being a typically sized stereo at 180 mm X 50 mm, and double din being twice the height at 180 mm X 100 mm. This gives you more screen room to watch a movie or follow navigation, plus more cars today have the space for a double-din stereo. Installing a double-din DVD monitor isn't much different than any other stereo, it's just bigger.
But how to install a double din car dvd player by yourself? Here's some steps you can folow. In this case, the project vehicle is a bmw e46 dvd player, but the process is similar for other vehicles as well.
1. Place your foot on the brake pedal, turn the key to the "on" position, and pull the column shifter down to the "1" position. If so equipped, tilt the steering column down as well. Pull off the bezel that surrounds the dashboard using your hands, and place it to the side. Then, put the car back in park and turn off the ignition.
2. Unbolt the stereo from the dashboard using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket. Unplug the wiring harness from the dashboard and the antenna lead with your hands as you're pulling out the stereo. Then, place the vehicle-specific dash kit into the dashboard using a 1/4-inch ratchet and socket and slide the cage that comes with the double-din head unit into the dash kit. Secure the cage to the kit using the flat head screwdriver to push in the tabs on the cage and pressure fit the cage to the kit.
3. Place the wiring harness that comes with the double-din stereo next to the vehicle-specific wiring harness. Notice how all of the wiring has the same color coding system, and both of them have labeled wires for each lead. You want to connect each wire with the corresponding wire of the same color and label on the other harness. To do this, strip off 1/4 inch of shielding from the end of a wire using the wire strippers. Then, crimp a blue butt connector onto the end of the wire using the wire crimpers. Strip the corresponding lead on the other harness in the same manner, and crimp it into the other end of the blue butt connector. Do this for every wire in each harness until there are no more.
4. Plug the vehicle-specific wiring harness into the dashboard wiring harness, and allow the plug at the end to hang out of the cage in the dash. Then run the antenna lead from the dashboard out of the cage and plug the GM antenna adapter into the factory antenna lead.
5. Place the double-din head unit in your right hand and plug in the wiring harness and antenna lead into the back of the stereo. Then push the stereo into the dashboard until you hear two clicking sounds, indicating that the stereo has locked itself into the dash cage. Reassemble the bezel in the reverse order of removal.

What is a program to get audio from my piano keyboard onto my computer?
I have a midi program called red dot forever that gets the input from the keys and pedal and transforms it into midi already. So I have Midi covered. What I want is a program where I can hook up a stereo cable from my keyboard to my computer and record the exact sound I would otherwise hear in my headphones or out my speakers so I can make CD's of my compositions. Can anyone help? I will love you forever.
Thank you so much for the answers everyone! Audacity it is!
in the free software department i would say audacity or Wavosaur portable in the paid software dept i would recommend Advanced Audio recorder it also has an audio editor built into it. Or cool record edit pro.
