Storage and Connectivity on Yamaha YPT Keyboards
Yamaha YPT Keyboards has a range of keyboards that can be enjoyed by keyboard players of different skill levels. The keyboards can be enjoyed all by themselves or by connecting to the computer so that you can try out the various music software programs. You even have the option to connect Headphones so that you can use it for silent practice or if you wish you can connect it to external amplifiers and see the true potential of your YPT keyboards. But in addition to these, music keyboards have other connectivity and storage options which are useful to know. So what are the various options available on Yamaha YPT Keyboards?
When it comes to storage, all YPT keyboards come with an internal memory that stores the various built-in songs as well as the user defined patches and songs. The size of this internal memory will vary somewhat depending on the model number but around 1.8 MB of internal memory is what you can expect to get with most yamaha YPT keyboards. But mind you, once you connect the keyboards to a computer, then you can actually do all your recording on the computer and are really not limited by the size of the internal memory of your keyboard.
In terms of external connectivity, in addition to the output for headphones/amps and the MIDI slot, you also have the option to connect an external sustain pedal to your keyboards. This is an option that most piano players will love to have so that they can sustain certain notes and phrases while playing piano pieces. While some keyboards may give you a bundles sustain pedal along with your purchase, its best to get an external sustain pedal unless you are a beginner and just starting out. Seasoned players will not enjoy the bundled one that comes along, so you may get an external sustain pedal preferably from M-audio.
That covers all the connectivity options, actually there's one more - the DC input but then that is the power input which is needed on all electronic keyboards. A point to remember here is that when you buy a music keyboard ensure that you get a bundled power adapter along with it so that you really don't have to figure out what wattage power adapter you need to purchase. So as you see, there are many options to use external gear along with your keyboard which enhances your experience as an end-user. So explore the range of yamaha ypt keyboards and get hold of one today.

whats the difference between a sustainer Pickup vs. compresser/sustainer pedal for an Electric guitar??
Well, a sustainer pickup will prevent you from ever making the choice whether you want the sound it produces because it will always do so.
I always suggest that any type of modelling be done between guitar and amp, not inside them.
A compressor basically takes the signal from the guitar and makes the loud signals softer and the soft signals louder so they are more even. Sometimes you don't want that and having everything at the same volume gets to be kind of a drag. Sustain is often a by-product of compression.
