Where Should a "solo only" volume pedal be placed in my chain of effects pedals?
I have a Morley Little Alligator volume pedal that i want to use for guitar solos when playing live. Where should it go in the chain of pedals or doesn't it matter. The other pedals i use are chorus, overdrive, distortion, phaser, wah wah, echo, ocatve and tuner.
The other guy that responded has basicly everything wrong except that the tuner goes first. The order that works best for most people is
tuner->wah-either overdrive or distortion(which ever order sounds better)-> octave-> chorus->phaser->echo-> volume pedal
you could switch the where the chorus and phaser if that sounds better
also try the volume pedal before the echo if you want to also boost the volume of the echos
there is no set rule so experiment
